Hallmarking

All of my listed pieces are weighed to check if they need to be hallmarked, which is required by law for silver content over 7.78grams. As currently all work listed is below this threshold it is unnecessary to send and pay for this. All of my silver is bought from reputable bullion sellers for jewellery and is recycled.

Sterling Silver - 925%
Copper
Bronze

I use sterling silver wire and findings.
Rose gold filled findings are also listed for some individual pieces as they work well being a similar colour to copper but are kind to your skin. Silver or gold filled metal is similar to plated metal except the silver or gold content is thicker and will last longer than metal plating.

Ring sizing

To measure, wrap a 1 cm-wide strip of paper or string snugly around the knuckle, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in mm. If the ring band is wide it is best to go up a size and round up if you are between sizes.

Care and Cleaning

Sterling silver will tarnish over time but is cleaned easily. For most pieces using a soft cloth is all that is needed. You can also use a wet toothbrush and washing up liquid, give the piece a good scrub all over and rinse again. Dry with kitchen roll. If the surface of your piece started as a matt finish and has become shiny, it is possible to regain the matt finish using a toothbrush and some toothpaste (mildly abrasive). Do not use silver cleaner on any of the oxidised (blackened, or green on copper) pieces a wipe with a polishing cloth is enough. Copper items that are worn next to the skin such as pendants, have been coated in a jewellery sealing lacquer or wax to help to prevent the metal tarnishing your skin. These will last with careful wear but prolonged wear in water or the sea will wear off the lacquer.

All pieces are packaged in a gift box. UK orders are sent by Royal Mail ‘tracked 48’ at a cost of £3.75.

Most pieces are available for dispatch within 2 working days of ordering. If you require the order by a certain date contact me first before placing the order.

Returns

We hope that you will be delighted with your purchase from my shop but if for any reason you are unhappy with an item please use the contact form in the first instance. 
If returning an item it must be returned in original condition (unless faulty) and original packaging within 14 days of receipt of item. Unfortunately, earrings for pierced ears cannot be returned due to hygiene reasons. It is recommended that all returned items are sent fully insured by Royal Mail Tracked delivery as we cannot accept responsibility for any returned items being lost, stolen or damaged. Once we have received the returned items and are happy with the condition of the goods a full refund or exchange will be given.
